Hudson River Ice Meadows

538 Golf Course Road, Warrensburg

This beautiful property has a couple of trail loops, but like to follow the blue trail, which is 0.6 miles in total, and follows a relatively flat path through the woods to the edge of the Hudson River. Our family likes to then climb down the rocky path to the water's edge, where there is a beautiful and rare "ice meadow" habitat - it's a wide open bare-rock shore that gets scraped clean of vegetation each winter by the ice flowing down the river. We like to throw rocks into the water, and explore the crevices.
