Lake George Battlefield Park

Parking Lot/Meeting Location: 75 Fort George Rd, Lake George, NY 12845

The Lake George Battlefield State Park is right at the southern end of Lake George. The visitors center is housed in the same building as the Lake George Park Commission, and serves as a good meeting place (and parking lot). From there you can walk along narrow paved paths that lead to over a dozen historical markers, statues, and notable sites, part of the “The Colonial Wars in Lake George Self-Guided Tour.” The Park has a picnic area, and of course, great views of the lake. When open, you can also go into the visitors center to view their historical exhibits. The Center and Park is supported by the Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance.
